Alvaro Morata is almost certain to move to Chelsea
Premier League champions Chelsea have reached an agreement with Real Madrid on the purchase of Spanish national team striker Alvaro Morata.
In its official web site, the Blues confirmed this news, though not mention how many numbers they will pay to redeem the former Juventus striker.
However reports BBC Sport claims the two clubs agreed a transfer value in the 70 million pounds, or no less than 1.2 trillion rupiah. That number will be the highest purchase record in Chelsea’s history.
Chelsea now live to reach a personal agreement with Alvaro Morata. After that the players will be medical tests and official introductions can be done.
The 24-year-old striker will be a fourth recruitment Chelsea in the transfer market this summer, after goalkeeper Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger defender, and midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Alvaro Morata scored 20 goals last season, after rejoining Madrid from Juventus. His contribution plays a role in the success of Los Blancos champions La Liga and Champions League, although most of his performances stem from the bench.
Previous Manchester United reportedly interested in signing Alvaro Morata, but ended up choosing Romelu Lukaku from Everton they purchase with a value of 75 million pounds.
Since penetrating the Spanish senior team in 2014, until now Morata has recorded 20 caps. Earlier this complete striker helped the Spanish champions at Euro U-21 in 2013, as well as the U-19 European Championship in 2011. (Source: Chelseafc.com, BBC Sport)
